Introducing our Slack Channel
When we started SF Data, our goal was to curate the best data engineering content out there - there just wasn’t anything out there for data engineers.
Initially we focused on cloud warehouses, specifically Amazon Redshift (you’re probably noticed…). Then we started adding content for BigQuery, Snowflake and then of course also Kafka, Spark, Airflow, etc…
Fast forward to today, and we’ve grown our subscriber base from 1 (myself…) to close to 6,000 subscribers!
There’s so much knowledge among our readers - we thought it was time for us to take the next step and share that knowledge.
💡💡💡Enter: Slack Channel 💡💡💡
In the past few weeks, we’ve been quietly building a Slack Channel for data engineers, with gated access.
What you’ll find: a community of data engineers from across the globe contributing answers, sharing experiences and bringing great questions about data engineering to the surface. On the channel, we have engineers from companies like WeWork, Dollar Shave Club and Delivery Hero.
Just like with the newsletter, we’re initially focusing the Slack Channel on Amazon Redshift.
“With this channel, I’ll never have to talk to AWS support again”
actual quote from an engineer on the channel
Over time, our plan is to add more channels specific to other data warehouses and tech. It’s following the successful playbook we had with SF Data.
So if you’re a data engineer who’s working with Amazon Redshift, and that Slack channel sounds like it’s a fit for you,
then reply to this email and I’ll share the invite to join!
Until next week!
