SF Data Weekly - COVID Data Insights, AI-Powered Slack Emojis and Julia

July 31 · Issue #148 · View online
SF Data Weekly
This week’s issue looks at COVID data in three different ways. Our pick is a deep dive into the relationship between age and COVID fatalities, and it’s a great example of how good data analysis can find meaning in noisy data. We’ve also included an article explaining how ML can be used to distinguish fake from real COVID news, and a piece that shows how to use the Julia language to visualize COVID data. But it’s not all about the pandemic here – we also included a Slack emoji maker and a piece on Spotify’s “put data first” infrastructure approach. Stay healthy!
